Have fun, make friends and learn social skills while playing easy theater and comedy improv games like those seen on the TV show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Participants in this 5-week workshop will enhance focus, teamwork, impulse control, creativity, flexibility, emotional expression, initiating conversation and many other social thinking skills without even realizing it. Cost is $150. Class meets for five weeks, 90 minutes per session. If you want to attend the first workshop as a "try-it" class, the cost is $10.

This is a relaxed and supportive workshop. Participation is always encouraged, never forced.
Instructor: Carol Roberts, MA, is a former standup comic and improviser. She has taught comedy improv games to encourage social skills at the Monterey Bay Educational Center, Learning with Leia in Salinas, and Hope for Horses. She teaches stand-up comedy and comedy improv classes at the Carmel Foundation and in Santa Cruz. She has relocated from Rochester, NY where she conducted social skills improv classes for middle, high school and college students (Rochester Institute of Technology) with referrals from families, therapists and school counselors. She has also trained teachers and school counselors in this practice.
