Since January 20, 2025, the Trump Administration has made a lot of changes to immigration enforcement. The purpose of this presentation is to inform individuals with disabilities, particularly immigrant parents of children with disabilities and disabled students, about what rights you have in general and on school campuses if you are stopped, arrested, or placed in detention by immigration authorities.
This is not legal advice; it is information about the recent changes that have occurred, including changes to immigration law, and what these changes mean for immigrants. This is a rapidly changing area of law. This presentation will be based on the law as of February 21, 2025.
American Sign Language, Captions (multiple languages) and Spanish Language Translation will be provided.
This webinar is hosted by the Marin Center for Independent Living, MATRIX Parent Network, Southern California Resources for Independent Living and Festiva Educativa. Technical support is provided by the Disability Organizing Network (DONetwork) with support from our funders the Administration on Community Living, California State Independent Living Council and the California Department of Rehabilitation.
