Do you want to learn more about SSI (Supplemental Security Income) for youth (ages 0- 17)? Join Special Kids Connect and Disability Rights California for a workshop to learn about SSI for children with disabilities ages 17 and younger.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- Eligibility rules
- What makes applying for SSI for children different than applying for adults
- "Deeming" and what this means for your child's eligibility - What to do if your SSI application is denied (appeals process)
- What you will need to report to Social Security if your child is found eligible for benefits
- Other helpful tips and resources This workshop is a great way to learn how SSI works and how to apply for benefits.
It’s open to family members, caregivers, and anyone who wants to learn more about this topic. BRING YOUR QUESTIONS or simply come to learn.
