About: 

I joined Special Kids Connect in August 2022 and currently serve as the Education Manager. I hold an Associate in Arts in General Studies with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Sciences, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with a concentration in Diversity and Cultural Awareness.

I bring both professional experience and lived experience to my role. I am the mother of a child diagnosed with Autism and am also a Type 1 diabetic. These experiences deeply shape my passion for advocacy in schools and equitable systems of care.

Beyond my work at Special Kids Connect, I collaborate with other nonprofit organizations to help ensure quality healthcare and accessible services for underserved communities. I am committed to empowering families with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to successfully navigate special education and healthcare systems.

What I like best about working at Special Kids Connect: 

Seeing families grow in their advocacy; watching them build confidence, dream big, and pursue the resources and support their children deserve without letting barriers stop them.

Fun fact:

Cooking is my therapy... but I don't love the cleaning part.
