Neurodiversity refers to the idea that neurological differences, like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and others, are natural variations of the human brain. Recognizing neurodiversity reinforces the idea that there is no one “right” way of thinking. Neurodivergent individuals make up 15 to 20 percent of the population.

Understanding neurodiversity is essential for parents, educators, and the general public because it fosters an inclusive environment that recognizes and values these differences.  (Definition by The Neurodiversity Alliance.)

Special Kids Connect's Neurodiverse Connect program celebrates neurodiversity in youth and young adults ages 14-26 with opportunities to develop skills that are transferable to post-secondary education, careers, and life!
